Love Island 'fake feelings, game playing and declarations' - savage secrets behind finale

Sunday's Love Island final will see one hot couple be crowned the winners of 2020 and the first ever winter series.

In the running to become the next crowned winner include Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu, Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman, Jess Gale and Ched Uzor, Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott, and Paige Turley and Finn Tapp.

Siânnise and Luke T are currently the favourites to win the winter series and take home the £50,000 prize.

Fans of the show have seen them go from strength to strength after becoming an official couple and declaring they loved each other.

From fake feelings and game playing to the Islander "determined to win" at all costs, Mirror Online takes a look at what's really going on behind the scenes...

Faking feelings

As the final approaches, it's normal behaviour for the single contestants to couple-up, or make things official, to prevent missing out on their chance to bag the big £50k prize.

Paige and Finn became this year's first official girlfriend and boyfriend, followed closely by Siannise and Luke T - who admitted "I love you" to each other on Thursday night's episode.

Priscilla and Mike have come a long way - and are now official (ITV)

Although there are no single contestants at the moment, it's possible that the couples are feeling the pressure to make things official in a bid stay in the competition, proving they come as one.

It's no secret that Mike has confessed his feelings to four different girls during his time in the villa - usually explaining he has a "special connection" with the chosen one.

Ahead of the final, he asked Priscilla to be his girlfriend during Wednesday night's segment.

Is Mike being 100% genuine or does he have his eyes on the prize?

Game playing

Demi was accused of being a "game player" who faked her interest in Nas Majeed as part of a ploy to win the show.

But after he left, she began to develop feelings for Luke M - and is accused of further faking her feelings in a "desperate" bid to stay.

Demi and Luke are not yet an official couple, but have been taking things slowly (ITV)

One fan speculated: "Demi yet another undetected fake game player solely after the 50k. Was after Nas when she came as she new how popular he was now all of a sudden she's single declares feelings for Luke M."

"I feel like Demi is being really fake here," the commenter wrote. "I liked her before but this thing with Luke isn't real."

But is the chemistry really there for these two or is it all just one big game plan?

Gushy romantic declarations

The remaining couples will have a romantic dinner and make their final declarations to each other ahead of the big moment we find out who will be crowned the winner.

Love Island 2016 winners Olivia and Alex Bowen admitted in PrettyLittleThing's Behind Closed Doors podcast that Islanders are told to bring one outfit with them to wear at the final, before they head onto the show.

They get dressed up and enjoy one-to-one time on a final date before heading into the real world.

Fans are convinced Siânnise and Luke T are the 'real winners' (ITV)

Only four couples will get to experience the romantic meal as one couple will be dumped from the villa hours before.

One last dumping

Viewers can expect to see one last dumping as the app re-opened for fans to vote for their favourite couples.

The pair with the least vote will be cruelly sent packing just hours before the live finale.

Out of the five remaining couples, who will stay, and who will go?

*Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
