Love Island exes unearthed from Luca's 'disrespected' former lover to 'toxic' Tommy Fury

Nearly everyone has a dating past but once you step foot on Love Island, there's every chance a former flame will have something to say.

Or, as we've seen already this summer, they may just jet in too!

Islanders go on the show to form new relationships, but that has never stopped exes speaking about their past.

Some contestants' old lovers have had plenty to say after seeing them rock up on the programme.

So as this year's batch wait patiently to see if they too will be seeing their history right in front of them, we've taken a look back at those whose old boyfriends and girlfriends have had plenty to say.

Luca Bish

Former fishmonger Luca Bish was put on the chopping board - and the knives were out!

The 23-year-old and tattoo artist Sophie Floyd 'drifted apart' he claimed.

But telling all in a YouTube video, Sophie saw their break-up rather differently.

"Got my heart broken," she said. "As a lot of you have kind of gathered, me and Luca aren't together anymore.

"It's a lot. I've been dealing with that and all the things that come with that. Very sudden, very unexpected, weird."

She added: "He did f***ing hurt me and he was massively disrespectful to me towards the end, which is why I kind of just had to put things to bed and move forward."

Tommy Fury

She laughed off his claim that he was single for around ten months (Social Media)

Millie Roberts claimed Tommy Fury is 'toxic' - and even took a swipe at the women in the Love Island villa.

She also spoke out against the boxer's claim that he had been single for 10 months before signing up.

"If this is his dream and he wants to go follow it, then all the best!" she said.

"What is toxic to me might not be to someone else. I am going to concentrate on me now."

She went on "Didn’t realise February to March was eight-10 months ago?

“I know you're not the best at maths but this is no excuse. It’s mad what fame and money can do to people, try and act like the whole relationship was nothing. But okay Tommy, you do you.”

Maura Higgins

But was she putting on a performance? (INSTAGRAM)

The Irish beauty was blasted for putting on a performance during her time in the villa.

James Finnegan had plenty to say in an interview about his time with Maura - and accused her of playing a game.

Maura met James when she was 16 years and they were reportedly together for nine years, but it didn't stop him speaking.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: "The Maura you see on Love Island is not the Maura I know. For me, she is putting on an act. I haven’t watched the scene where she was hitting on Tommy Fury but she never did anything like that to me. I’m not even sure he’s her type.

"I think Maura is playing a game and trying to grab attention. But there is a lot of jealousy towards her here, with people bitching behind her back. I think she will be given a hard time when she comes home."

Arabella Chi

Arabella Chi was accused of going onto the show in 2019 whilst being in a serious relationship.

Just to add more confusion, she was 'seeing' an ex-Islander!

She was slammed by her ex boyfriend Charlie Frederick, who shared their chats just days before she went on the show and didn't tell him.

Taking to his Instagram page, he said: "Finding out that a person I'm seeing on a serious level has just strolled into the villa completely disregarding my feelings and our relationship or what we had.

"I feel like I have to air these screenshots because I feel like I've been completely mugged off."

Connor Durman

Connor Durman's ex-girlfriend Stevie-Leigh Pich claims he told her she would never get on Love Island.

But before long, he parading around in his swim shorts himself.

Connor and Stevie-Leigh reportedly lived together for three years when she says he told her she wouldn't make the grade.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: "I was approached for Love Island last year, he told me I’d never get on it so I never expected him to apply for it.

"It’s mad seeing him on TV because I keep thinking ‘that’s my Connor’ even though he’s not anymore.

"He was my best mate and from what friends have said it doesn’t sound like he’s the boy I fell in love with. It sounds like he’s coming across as a f***boy."

Luke Mabbot

Luke Mabbot's former flame Chloe Ephraim said he led her to believe they had a future before he turned up in the 2020 show.

Although the two never officially dated, Chloe claimed that they became flirty after they met when she was 18 in Turkey.

Chloe said at the time: "I’ve felt so sick ever since I found out. I was speaking to him four days before he appeared on the show. We were planning for me to go down and visit him for a whole weekend.

"He started pursuing me again just after Christmas and he must have known that he was going on the show then.

"He didn’t say anything. He just led me on and I was planning to go stay with him for the whole weekend."

Gemma Owen

Now we wait to find out if this year's shock early twist could cause chose - or possibly provoke a happy ending.

Hunky Jacques O'Neill, a 23-year-old rugby player, arrived as a bombshell after Gemma's first week on the show.

The couple were together for a year before breaking up.

Jacques seemed to snub his former flame in his intro video – not even mentioning her name.

When asked why he was single, he only briefly alluded to their relationship: "I split up with my ex and then I was seeing someone else. I was concentrating so much on my rugby and then I had that injury.

"I think it needs to be the right person, at the right time."
