Former Love Island couple Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole narrowly avoided an awkward run-in this week.
The pair, who shocked other singletons and fans of the ITV2 show when they broke up and quit days before the final, were both guests at the launch of Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights.
Jake, 24, arrived at the event with Love Island pals Toby Aromolaran and Aaron Simpson - who are part of the tiny group of co-stars who he is still in contact with.
Last month he told Bobby Norris on his Fubar radio show: "I don’t speak to any of the girls. I think I’m a lone wolf that side. They’re there and I’ve just gone this way.

“I speak to Brad, Liam, Danny, Tyler… Aaron Francis. I’ll speak to [the other guys] here and there if they message me on Instagram, but really on WhatsApp where you’re gonna speak to them is a handful of the lads.
"There’s probably six of the lads.”
Meanwhile, Liberty, 22, was pictured alone on the red carpet.
Although they might have managed to avoid one another on Wednesday, soon it will be harder for Jake to miss Lib - she’s signed a series of deals that will raise her profile to new levels.
The Brummie babe was recently confirmed as a contestant for the 2022 series of Dancing On Ice, and she has also landed a £1 million deal with In The Style, too.
Ahead of coming face to face with zombies and braving some of the Surrey theme park’s most famous rides. Liberty definitely looked every inch the fashionista, wearing a stylish camel coat and black jeans.
Her blonde hair gently tumbled around her shoulders, and her make-up gave her a subtle golden glow.
Liberty recently admitted that she and Jake no longer speak.
The duo decided to split up just days before the Love Island final, a show first, and quit the villa together as friends.
Speaking to The Mirror at the TRIC Awards, Liberty revealed: “I do think he was genuinely ill for the reunion.
“I don’t keep in contact with him every day anymore, obviously we’re exes.”
She made similar comments to Capital Breakfast show after appearing alongside Jake on Love Island spin-off, Aftersun.
She said: "Obviously you might have seen the awkward TV interview, that’s because we hadn’t spoke to each other at all after breaking up and to then go on TV."
