Love Island episode three spoilers: Lucie sleeps on the SOFA as she’s torn between Tommy and Joe

It seems that Lucie can’t make her mind up as she’s caught in Love Island’s biggest love triangle so far.

After Tommy Fury chose her in last night’s recoupling - despite her connection with sandwich guy Joe - tonight’s episode sees the in-demand islander torn between the two men, eventually opting to sleep on the sofa in order to avoid further drama.

The two new couples - Tommy and Lucie along with Curtis and Amy - head off on a double date, where the boxer turns on the charm to win over his new partner.

“I wanted to go with my heart. I wanted to couple up with you because I believe something was there,” he says, adding: “I don’t know what it is. I get butterflies when I see you.”

Continuing with the hyperbole, he adds: “If two Beyonces and three Rihannas walked in tomorrow, my head wouldn’t be turned.”

Their date causes alarm bells to ring for Joe, who promptly heads for a chat with Lucie.

“You’re probably not ready to talk about stuff right now and it’s fine, we’ll hold it back another day, but I feel like you’ve come back and you’re keeping your options open,” he says.

Seeking to avoid an argument, she tells him she “just want[s] to go to sleep” and heads off to bed down on the sofa.

Later in the episode, Tommy’s affections prove fickle. Despite those Beyonce references, he decides to get grafting with Amber.

“I went on that date last night and it was a good date but I feel like I woke up this morning and you can’t put all your eggs in one basket,” he tells her. “I know you’re a straight up girl so what I want to know is… would you be open to getting to know me?”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
