Love Island dumping rocks villa as one boy is forced to pack his bags

The Love Island villa has been rocked by a shock dumping that will play out on Friday night's show.

As you'll know if you've watched any series of Love Island in the past, with every recoupling comes a dumping and that's exactly what has already happened in the South African villa, with a boy forced to pack his bags and leave the show.

So far only one person has left the villa, that was Eve Gale who found herself single after last week's recoupling, leaving twin Jess behind.

This week has seen the arrival of new girl Rebecca Gormley and Love Island new boys and Luke Trotman, but a spoiler for tonight's episode doesn't reveal what part they have to play in the recoupling.

In the past new arrivals have often been immune from being dumped, so that could well leave an original boy vulnerable.

News of the dumping, which was teased by Laura Whitmore on this week's Aftersun, is of course broken to the Islanders via text. It reads: “Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling. The girls will choose who they want to couple up with and the boy not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island #upyourgame #everymanforhimself”

Paige exclaims: “Oh my god, somebody’s leaving! Someone’s going to go home tonight and it’s horrible to think it’s us who choose.”

And the text prompts plenty of nerves around the Villa.

Callum says “I’m nervous to see what happens," Finn adds “I didn’t think I would be as bothered as I am today," and Connagh admits: “I’m really bothered.”

Keeping her cards close to her chest, new girl Rebecca says: “I just need to do what’s right for me.”

Have the new boys done enough to stay? What new couples will form? And which boy will leave? Watch tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
