Love Island contestants to decide fellow Islanders' fate in first look at dumping

Love Island contestants must decide their fellow Islanders' fate in a first look at tonight's episode [Monday, July 11]. It comes after the show ended on a cliffhanger on Sunday night with Jay Younger and Chyna Mills and Dami Hope and Summer Botwe all at risk of being dumped.

In the last instalment the contestants were asked to gather around the fire pit following a public vote where they learned that the two couples with the least amount of votes would be left vulnerable. When only Jay and Chyna and Dami and Summer were left standing, the show rolled to the credits.

But in scenes set to air tonight, the Islanders will find out it's up to them to decide which couple goes home. In a first look the contestants receive a text which reveals: "Which couple is saved and which couple is dumped will be decided by your fellow Islanders."

Both couples are asked to make their way to the sundeck as the Islanders deliberate on whom they'd like to save. With the decision firmly in the hands of the Islanders, who will be safe and who will be heading home?

On Sunday night's episode, Dami called things off with Summer over his feelings for Indiyah Polack, who he was coupled up with prior to Casa Amor. Meanwhile, Jay told Chyna he couldn't see a romantic connection and only wanted to be friends.

Tonight's episode will also see former Love Island contestant Adam Collard enter the villa as a bombshell. The reality television star appeared in series 4 in 2018, you can read more about his first Love Island journey here.

In scenes that will air tonight the boys are lounging on the sunbeds when Billy receives a text which reads: "Boys, it's time for some R&R. Please get ready to leave the Villa. #Whenindoubtzenitout"

Little do they know the girls have their own surprise due to enter the villa in the form of previous Love Islander, Adam. Walking in, the 26-year-old says: "I think the villa needs spicing up and I'm the perfect man for the job."

He then starts to get to know the girls, starting with Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne. Speaking in the beach hut, Paige says: "I feel like he has a lot of potential, he is ticking a good few of my boxes."

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
