Love Island chaos: Hugo and Toby involved in fierce argument after controversial recoupling comments

Fans of Love Island were delighted on Thursday night as we finally got a bit of drama when Hugo tore strips into Toby for his treatment of Chloe.

In case you missed it, Toby had just coupled up with new girl Abigail while Hugo saved Chloe.

This was after Toby had been getting to know Abi, which upset Chloe, who he had been partnered with at the time.

It led for Hugo to hit out at the way Chloe had been treated.

And now we can reveal what exactly happened in the aftermath.

The Islanders joined together for a toast to departed pal Georgia

Lucincda kept things civil, saying: Here’s to Georgia - the biggest breath of fresh air in here!”

However, Toby then chimed in with: And to finding out two-faced mugs!”

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Hugo defended himself, saying: “I’m not going to take it back, I fully meant it. Hopefully I can grab Toby and try and smooth things over.”

To that point, he asks Toby for a chat in a bid to clear the air.

Toby relented, saying to Hugo: “That’s not cool bro. I am shocked, that is s**t from you. I’ve asked you your opinions and I am not angry about your opinions. Your opinion is completely valid. The fact is the way you went about it.”

Hugo says: “I still consider you family and I hope that we can get past this.”

Caught in the middle of all of this is Chloe, who Hugo spoke to while delivering his evisceration of Toby.

She told the Beach Hut: Hugo Hammond - like the best person ever. I’ve never had a friend like that. I’m speechless. I couldn’t be more grateful.”

Also tonight, Millie and Liam head out on their first date, while Jake and Liberty attempt to put a label on things with the help of Hugo and Liam.
