Love Island bosses line up blonde actress with soap star mum for upcoming summer series

Love Island bosses have lined up a blonde bombshell with a famous soap star mum for the new summer series, which will get underway next month.

Molly Marsh, who has also dabbled in some theatre work in the past, is reportedly in talks to join the 10th series of the popular ITV2 reality dating show.

The 24-year-old social media influencer has more than 25,000 followers on Instagram and she is expected to become the latest beauty to seek fame by appearing on Love Island.

The summer series, which will be hosted by Maya Jama once again following her debut presenting role in South Africa earlier this year, will return to our screens on Monday, June 5.

A source told The Sun: "Molly was scouted after visiting the villa in South Africa earlier this year. She was on the tour as an invited guest when she caught the eyes of producers.

"Molly made it clear she would love to be a part of Love Island and she was told to audition. After going through the process, she’s now a shoo-in to fly to Mallorca later this month.

"She is a star on the rise and comes from a showbiz family — her mum Janet even had small roles on Coronation Street and Still Open All Hours.

"Molly has made it clear she’s got what it takes to make a bang and ITV love her."

Molly has appeared in national tours of musical Oliver! and the pantomime of Sleeping Beauty, but she is set to make her break in the Majorca villa this summer as the show returns to its natural home.

Singletons will head to the Balearic Island once more for the 10th series of the reality dating programme, with the winners set to take away £50,000.

In March, PE teacher Kai Fagan and social worker Sanam Harrinanan won the winter series in South Africa after pipping Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins to the crown.

The couple followed in the footsteps of Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Liam Reardon and Millie Court - who recently rekindled their romance following a split - and Finn Tapp and Paige Turley, who all remain together since winning the show.
