Love Island boss teases explosive All Stars series to bring back former Islanders

Love Island bosses are hopeful at the possibility of an all-stars special of the ITV hit dating show, which would see the biggest Islanders return to the villa.

The All Stars series could see the return of fan favourites such as Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins, Ovie Soko and Dani Dyer to sip from their distinctive water bottles in the sun.

Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer has said he would "love" to bring back the stars of the show for a special instalment.

Speaking during a Q&A with fans on Reddit, he raised the possibility of the special series, much to fans’ excitement.

He said: “I would personally love to make an ‘All Stars in the future with past Islanders across all series. What do you think?”

He then added that the final call would be down to ITV broadcaster, saying it “would be a question for the channel”.

Reacting to the prospect of Love Island doing the same, one fan replied: "That would be my DREAM!!! Please make it happen!!"

Another wrote: "As long as you bring [back] our queen Maura it'd be amazing!"

This comes after the broadcaster confirmed that Love Island will be back on our screens very soon.

ITV bosses have confirmed that the eighth series of the hit ITV2 show will be premiering on Monday, June 6.

A message from the show's official Twitter account read: "Here's your first hot date of the summer Love Island is back Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub!"

That means we're just days away from meeting the latest batch of love-seeking singletons and wannabe influencers.

"This announces the start of summer," one happy fan replied to the show's tweet on Tuesday, with another adding: "I am SO ready for this!!! Ready for my annual summer of love!!!"

The trailer for the 2022 edition was teased on Britain's Got Talent last week and poked fun at rival shows Too Hot To Handle and Love Is Blind.

"224 islanders have slo-mo walked through the famous Love Island villas doors, but don't take it from me our bromances, babies and brides can tell you why we are number one", said voiceover man Iain Stirling.

"This summer love isn’t blind, it’s neon and we can defo handle the heat. We’ve got a fire pit mate. Love we own it".

The new villa has been taking shape in recent weeks, with workers busy getting the building ready for the show's launch on June 6.

It looks like the new work could see a number of classic Love Island elements added to the villa, with pictures showing the construction of a modern terrace well underway.

In addition to a new setting, Love Island bosses also recently announced that they will be ditching fast fashion for the eighth series in a bid to be more eco-friendly.
