Love Island bombshell shakes villa as couples learn they're at risk of being dumped

The Love Island boys and girls are left gasping in tense new scenes to air on Tuesday night, as bombshell news shakes the villa.

A dumping twist is announced, with it appearing at least one couple could be axed with very little warning.

While details have not yet been confirmed, viewers were asked to vote for their favourite couples at the end of Monday night's show.

Now, in new scenes to air on Tuesday night, the Islanders are informed by text message that some of the couples are at risk of leaving the villa for good.

As they're sat around the fire pit, suddenly Liberty Poole receives a message that leaves them all open mouthed.

She reads: "The public have been voting for the couple that they think is the most compatible.

"Those with the fewest votes will risk being dumped tonight."

Islanders including Millie Court and Brad McClelland are seen gasping and covering their mouths in shock.

The scenes featured in a preview teaser that played out on ITV ahead of the episode, with it not yet confirmed if the dumping will air on Tuesday night or on Wednesday instead.

The show loves a cliffhanger, so it's likely the decision of which couple or couples will leave might be delayed.

Details on the dumping and whether it has already happened yet, or how many Islanders will leave, are also under wraps for now.

It comes just a day after a reshuffling with the existing couples, and the dumping of Islander Rachel Finni.

New boy Teddy Soares chose to pair up with Faye Winter, sending Rachel packing - after her original partner Brad ditched her for new girl Lucinda Strafford.

The only couple that stayed together in the latest recoupling was Liberty and Jake, Cornish with every other boy choosing a different girl to pair up with.

There are also two friendship couples, with Aaron and Kaz and Sharon and Hugo no doubt worrying this might put them at risk of leaving.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
