Love Island band confirm split just months after X Factor as Wes and Samira go solo

Love Island band No Love Lost has confirmed its split as the members have gone their separate ways just three months after X Factor : Celebrity.

It comes as Wes Nelson , who starred in the band alongside Zara McDermott , Eyal Booker, and Samira Mighty , is gong solo and is collaborating with a mega star rapper.

No Love Lost appeared on the ITV show last year, but had not released any music three months after the show ended.

Samira has also revealed she's got plans for a solo career, telling The Sun : "I'm not with No Love Lost anymore.

"I'm making my own music now."

Speaking to MirrorOnline last month, Wes said: "Music is what I love most now.

"Especially after doing X Factor and seeing what goes on behind the scenes."

Wes, Zara, Eyal and Samira formed a Love Island supergroup (ITV)

He has even built a recording studio in his house, and he teased: "I've got collaborations set up with very cool artists very soon."

It recently transpired that one of these artists is rapper Dave, whose powerful performance at the BRIT Awards made headlines last month.

Wes said the rapper, who picked up the BRIT Award for Album Of The Year for Psychodrama, has been acting as his mentor in the studio and has been helping out on his "chilled R&B and pop”.

He told The Sun: “I’ve been in the studio with Dave, he’s been great.

“A lot of the people I’ve been working with are really important. I’m in talks with big producers and labels.”

Wes also said he has teamed-up with Brummie hip-hop duo Loot Boyz to make music.

The former engineer boasted that everyone at the studio 'loves' the songs he has made so far and that he will soon be releasing the music.

Someone who might be disappointed at the news is his former bandmate Zara, who told The Sun in January: "We've not officially gone our separate ways.

"I'd love to continue with it. We had such a nice thing going on.

"We had the best time of our lives. It would be such a shame to throw it away, in a sense."
