Love Island Australia stuns fans as couple 'have sex' in Hideaway days into series

Love Island viewers couldn't believe how "different" the Australian version of the show was to the UK original on Friday night.

ITV2 has been playing season one of the Aussie version from 2018, after the UK's summer edition was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It's also reported there won't be a winter edition in 2021 this time around, so this could be fans' only fix for a while.

But tuning in, viewers took to Twitter to compare the two versions.

Many fans couldn't help comment on how raunchier the Australian one was, with couples appearing to have sex or "do bits" just days into their romances.

The latest episode was no different either, as The Hideaway opened for the first time just four or five days into the show.

It's not normally until the second or third week that the private and intimate bedroom comes into play in the UK series.

Couples can finally get some alone time in there, with many often getting steamy and some even having sex.

Eden and Erin were first into The Hideaway (ITV)

Eden and Erin were the first Aussie couple to be gifted a night in The Hideaway, after the latest task.

On hearing the news, the couple couldn't wait to get steamy and shouted out: "Sex tonight."

As they made their way in there, they shared a smooch before getting under the covers.

The pair were shown moving around under the sheets in the dark, before the episode ended so it wasn't entirely clear what went on.

That said, with the episode already having aired two years ago viewers will apparently hear Eden talking about having sex with Erin in the next episode.

Taking to Twitter, fans could not believe how quickly things progressed on the show.

One fan said: "Hideaway already? On day 5? The Aussies dont f**k about."

Another agreed: "Hideaway in the first week? Yo. Australia is different."

A third tweeted: "Hideaway already #LoveIslandAU," while a fourth echoed this saying: "Jesus hideaway in the first week??"

Love Island Australia continues at 9pm on ITV2.
