Love Island viewers could not believe what they were watching as an Aussie contestant sparked utter chaos with her actions on Wednesday night, in what some viewers are heralding 'the best moment ever'.
Love Island Australia first hit our screens in 2018 on itvBe but, with the UK version shelved for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, its first series is being repeated right now on itv2.
If you've caught even a few minutes of it, you'll now that the Aussies are even more savage than the Brits we're used to seeing and the most latest episode brought quite possibly L ove Island 's biggest plot twist EVER when a contestant called Cassidy got her own back on lothario ex Grant by pulling a move no-one saw coming - and you can watch it in the above video from Love Island's Twitter.
Grant ditched Cassidy for Tayla, after promising Cassidy that nothing was going on between him and her love rival, so at the recoupling Cassidy seized her chance to throw a serious spanner in the works of the love birds' blossoming relationship by choosing to couple up with Grant out of spite.
Host Sophie Monk turned to Grant to ask how he was feeling, to which he replied: "I’m uncomfortable and I’m speechless," and Tayla muttered: "Oh you're f****d."
Reacting in the Beach Hut, he said: “Cassidy obviously wants a reaction, she wants to hurt us. She wants revenge or something. But she’s not going to get a bite out of me.
"I don’t want to get anywhere near the level of low that she’s at so as long as I keep my head held high and make sure that I’m happy and that my relationship is going well, then she can’t win.”
Viewers, like Grant, were totally dumbstruck by Cassidy's tactics, but absolutely living for the drama. One tweeted: "Absolutely brilliant Cassidy," and another simply reacted: "Best. Love. Island. Moment. Ever."
Others weren't anywhere near as impressed though, with another ranting: "Cassidy off love island has lost the f*****g plot," and a fourth posting: "Cassidy turned out to be the biggest game player in the villa and always playing the victim."
