Love Island Amy Hart 'in hiding' in Spain after quitting show

Love Island's Amy Hart is in hiding in Spain and being looked after by the show's producers after sensationally quitting the villa.

The air hostess, 26, walked out of the ITV show yesterday following a 'painful' chat with love rival Maura who made her feeling for ex half boyfriend Curtis clear.

Sources confirmed an emotional Amy was still in Spain and has not spoken out since leaving the villa. She is experiencing full aftercare offered to former Islanders.

Amy, who has never had a boyfriend, already had spoken to the show's psychologist after being dumped by ballroom dancer Curtis.

But it is believed her time in the villa was too stressful and she decided her Love Island journey was over.

Now, the 26-year-old star's parents have reportedly claimed that it has been "too painful to watch" her suffering in the run up to her exit.

Speaking to The Sun following the news of her departure from the show, a source close to Amy's dad Ian said that he felt "powerless" after her savage dumping.

“Ian’s a normal father who finds it concerning to watch his daughter go through the rigours of Love Island," they said.

“He can’t bear to read all the upsetting opinions on the internet about her. He has taken down his Facebook account and now refuses to watch the show.

“Any father would find this sort of thing very tough to watch while powerless to intervene.”

The funeral director and his wife Sue supported Amy on Love Island at first, but the insider added that her recent heartache may have prompted them to have "second thoughts" about whether she should have entered the show.

Viewers will see Amy's exit on Tuesday night's show as she becomes the fifth star to leave in consecutive days after tonight's shock quadruple dumping.

She tried to give Curtis a chance to redeem himself but the professional ballroom dancer brutally dumped her.

In an emotional discussion, Curtis admitted he could not promise that his head would not be turned again and the couple split up.

Amy's decision comes after she sought extra therapy from specialists last week after her break up.

She was then reduced to tears on Sunday night's show when she saw Curtis giving Maura a cha-cha lesson in the garden.
