Love Island 2023 couple announce split just a week after final

Love Island star Casey O'Gorman has revealed that he's split with Rosie Seabrook. Casey shared the news during a Q&A on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 21. The news comes just over a week after the ITV2 series, which was won by Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, came to an end.

A fan asked 26-year-old Casey on Instagram: "How are things with you and Rosie?" To which he replied: "Rosie and I have spoken... she's such a great girl. Life outside the villa is just very different and we will remain friends moving forward!" which he followed with a white heart emoji.

Rosie, 24, has yet to comment on the split, but recently shared that she was having a girls' day out with fellow ex-islander Jessie Wynter, before heading to a Chris Brown concert. The news comes following speculation that the pair had split following an awkward appearance together on the Love Island Reunion show on Sunday, March 19.

After Love Island host Maya Jama asked the former couple about the state of their relationship during the Reunion, they both appeared to freeze before answering. Casey then said: “We got back and said to each other that we’re just gonna see family and friends for the week. It’s all a bit overwhelming when you come back so that was the plan.

“But we’ve got a date on Tuesday, so we’re looking forward to that. I think there’s a lot of pressure, and we’re just not at that stage yet and we just want to take it a bit slower.” Social media sleuths were quick to pick up on the fact that both Casey and Rosie had posted about Sunday’s Reunion but neither had posted photos of each other.

A source close to the former couple told MailOnline: "It was clear from the moment they left the villa that Casey and Rosie weren't going to last. They haven't made any effort to spend time together on the outside or go on dates to truly get to know each other and they both agreed it was better to quit while they were ahead."

Rosie and Casey quickly became close in the villa, despite Casey already being coupled up with Claudia Fogarty. After a dramatic couple of days, Casey ended things with Claudia, who had already had feelings for him.
