Love Island 2022 finalists: The couples who will compete in the finale for the £50,000 prize

The couples through to the Love Island 2022 final have been revealed. The popular ITV2 dating show, hosted by Laura Whitmore, has been running for eight weeks and will air its final episode on Monday, August 1.

Over the course of the series, a grand total of 36 contestants have entered the villa in their quest for love. Now, only four couples remain and are in with a chance of winning the money. There were five couples left at the start of the penultimate episode on Sunday, July 31 but a brutal dumping saw Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne and bombshell Adam Collard leave the villa.

But which couples remain and be in the running for the £50,000 prize pot? And what have they been up to during their Love Island journey?

Davide and Ekin-Su

"You are a liar, an actress" is one of the most popular phrases of this year's series of Love Island and the man who said it, Davide Sanclimenti and partner, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu are favourites to win. Their Love Island journey has been up and down to say the least, but during recent episodes, the pair's relationship has been praised by fans of the show.

Their final date on Thursday, July 28 made headlines after singing sensation, Alfie Boe, serenaded them. Although Ekin-Su didn't know who Alfie Boe was (we can't believe it either), it didn't stop her crying on the date. The pair confessed that they loved each other at the dinner table.

Their fellow Islanders believed that they were the "least compatible" couple in the villa but amazingly, the public did not and they could soon be walking away with an equal (or not equal) share of £50,000.

Andrew and Tasha

Another couple that have had a mixed relationship is Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri. The pair, who have been together since the first day, were caught up in the middle of a Casa Amor drama. Both Andrew and Tasha had their heads turned by the bombshells but after some (a lot of) arguing, they soon realised that they couldn't imagine themselves with anyone else.

Andrew and Tasha became this year's first official boyfriend and girlfriend. Since their Casa Amor antics, they have grown from strength to strength.

Dami and Indiyah

Further victims of Casa Amor - Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack - started off on Love Island as friends but when their respective partners, Amber and Ikenna, were dumped from the villa, they quickly became an item.

During Casa Amor, Dami had his head turned by bombshell, Summer Botwe, prompting an awkward showdown between him and Indiyah, who herself returned with Deji Adeniyi. "May the best heartbreaker win," declared Indiyah as Dami watched on.

Luckily for the couple, the Casa Amor drama was soon water under the bridge and, remarkably, their fellow Islanders all agreed that they were the most "compatible" in the villa. But can 'compatibility' soon be turned into cash?

Luca and Gemma

Luca Bish and Gemma Owen have definitely been the ones to watch during this series of Love Island. Considering Gemma's famous father, this was almost always going to have been the case.

In recent weeks, the couple’s relationship has been on the rocks with Luca storming out of the villa and removing his microphone after a challenge. However, the pair both have solid online backing and have confessed their love for each other, so they could well be in with a chance of winning this series. After all, all Gemma wanted was her mum's backing. You can read more about that here.
