Love Island 2022 announces return of Movie Night following Casa Amor

Love Island has announced the return of Movie Night, which could reveal to the contestants what went down when they were separated during Casa Amor.

The twist saw the girls spend a few days at a new location, where they were joined by six new bombshells, while the boys stayed at the main villa and were joined by six new Islanders. The fallout from Casa Amor was huge, with Dami, Indiyah, Tasha, Andrew, Jay and Danica all deciding to recouple. You can read more on this here.

And in a first look at tonight's episode, which will air at 9pm on Friday, July 15, the Islanders are invited to movie night. Like last year, the challenge will see the contestants take part in a quiz to earn the right to choose which clip plays.

In scenes set to air tonight, Gemma gets a text which reads: "It's time to get glam and hit the red carpet as you attend Mad Movies the premiere! #SpillThePopcorn #ITV2andChill"

Dami then admits: "Personally, I know I am starring in this movie!"

While Ekin-Su says to Davide: "If we pass this we're fine." And Davide muses to the boys: "Forget nothing, at the end someone will pay the bill."

A show insider told The Sun: "Bosses have kept viewers waiting this year - but rest assured it's going to be worth it. If any Islanders thought the misdeeds of Casa Amor were behind them they are very much mistaken.

"Pretty much all couples are at risk from what plays out on the big screen and it's sure to be unmissable."

Elsewhere in the episode, the Islanders will learn the results of the public vote which is set to send two contestants home in a double dumping. Those at risk of leaving the villa are Andrew, Tasha, Summer, Josh, Coco and Deji.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
