We've got a text.....filming on the new series of Love Island has officially begun!
It's been well over a year since we got our last dose of all things coupling up and fire pits, when the hit ITV2 show aired its first winter edition from South Africa, won by Paige and Finn.
Like many other shows, Love Island fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic last year, with a mooted UK-based version even failing to materialise but it looks like it's all systems go for 2021 as presenter Laura Whitmore has been spotted doing some filming in London.
The Mirror reports that Laura was seen by locals filming scenes that looked like they could be part of the advertising campaign for the 2021 instalment of the hugely popular dating show.
The crew added a sprinkling of Love Island magic to the street by driving a bright red Jeep car onto the pavement - which was decorated with flashing lights and a megaphone.
A huge inflatable flamingo and lush plants provided the finishing touches alongside a telephone box and several of the iconic suitcases dished out to the contestants were seen.
Laura first got fans excited that something Love Island-related was in the offing when she took to Instagram to tease a busy day ahead.
She posted a picture of herself against a trailer with the words: "Shoot day! This is BIG," and then followed it up of a photo of her looking all glam with perfectly coiffed hair and a red lip, which she captioned: "Big hair don't care."
The Instagram snaps got her followers very excited, with a lot of the comment thread filled with Love Island speculation.
One fan reacted: "Please be for Love Island!!!" and another wrote: "Love Island trailer?"
The start date for new series of Love Island is rumoured to be June 28.
