Love Island 2020: Look inside winter villa which includes new feature The Dog House

Love Island starts again this Sunday (January 12) and fans up and down the country have eagerly been anticipating its arrival.

A first look into the brand new villa confirms there are some new features, as well as the return of old fan favourites.

The South African villa is five time's the size of the show's Majorcan retreat, Mirror Online reports.

The new villa is based in Constantia, Cape Town and the multi-level property boasts an ominous new feature called The Dog House.

Islanders who find themselves booted out of the communal bedroom will be relegated to a pull-down bed that they'll be forced to make themselves.

Previously, when couples rowed, one would sleep outside on sofas or daybeds.

There's also a men's dressing room, allowing the guys to bond with one another and a large staircase.

The fire pit makes a welcome return to host the show's famous dumpings.

Outside decks across three levels allow for private chats between the contestants while the kitchen provides extra seating.

The daytime coloured bean bag chairs make a comeback again this year. They allow the perfect opportunity for the islanders to bask in the sun and do a bit of gossipping and flirting whilst they're at it.

When arguments break out, the singletons will be able to cool off in the massive swimming pool and patio area which overlook the stunning Cape Town countryside.

The rows of sunbeds will allow the islanders to top up their tans and bathe in the golorious South African sunshine.

In previous years, the Islanders have had to make do with only a shower in the washroom, but this year they will have use of a huge whirlpool to bathe in.

One more hot tub has been positioned by the notorious Hideaway.

The secluded spot allows the Islanders to enjoy some privacy with one another if the mood takes them.

The Hideaway has been decked out in vibrant pink hues.

Throughout the series, lucky contestants will be able to leave the communal bedroom and spend the night alone as a couple.

Producers are hoping for some romantic fireworks for this series after most of the 2019 cohort failed to find lasting love in the villa.

Producers have left lots of flirty reminders around the villa telling the singletons what to do.

In the past, the signs used have been throwbacks to previous series featuring much-loved catchphrases.

Quotes including 'Bro code', 'vibey' and 'feeling you' adorn the walls.

It's not long now until the contestants are introduced to the brand new spanking digs.

The new series will kick off this Sunday (January 12) at 9pm.

Among the new line-up is Bristol's very own Siannise Fudge, .
