Love Island 2019: Release date 'announced' for series 5 of ITV show

The new series of Love Island is coming sooner than you think.

This year’s romance – and fame – hunting contestants will be entering the Spanish villa in less than a month if a new report is to be believed.

ITV2 is yet to confirm the return date, but a fan account is said to have cottoned on to the fact that the fifth series will begin 3 June.

Caroline Flack will be returning to host the nightly reality show that’s pulled in impressive ratings for the channel since it began in 2015.

The series follows a group of single individuals have the opportunity of leaving Mallorca with a $50,000 prize fund should they end up in the winning couple.

Last year’s series was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.

Other contestants included Megan Barton-Hanson, Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty and Dr Alex George.
