Love Island 2019 filming gets underway as Caroline Flack meets contestants

With Easter now firmly out of the way, a 'long, hot summer' awaits.

Caroline Flack sent fans into a frenzy as she confirmed Love Island 2019 filming starts this week and the new contestants have already been chosen.

The presenter made the announcement on Instagram as she filmed herself heading into the gym.

"What's really exciting about this week is that we start filming for Love Island 2019," she revealed.

"And by the end of the week I'm going to have potentially have seen the cast for this year which is really exciting - and mad that's it's come around this fast," Caroline added.

"So I'll let you know what happens. It's going to be a mad, hot summer and all that," she said echoing her famous catchphrase from the series.

The hugely popular ITV2 dating show usually starts in June with single hopefuls descending on the luxury Majorca villa in the hopes of finding love.

No doubt producers be hoping for better luck this year as not one of the couples from the last year have stayed together.

Winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer lost their title of the longest couple standing after they split last month.

The couple had been firm viewer favourites from day one.

But following months of rumours, former pen salesman Jack announced the break-up to devastated fans in an Instagram post in March - and Dani has already moved on.

The daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer was spotted snogging her new man while boozing with pals in London weeks after her break-up.

Dani was spotted in a passionate embrace with stockbroker Sammy Kimmence, who she dated before appearing on Love Island.

A insider told The Sun: “They were together for about a year, but she never really got over him and they got back in touch quite quickly once she split from Jack."
