Love Is Blind's Jessica Batten has surprised fans of the Netflix show by revealing she has been friends with co star Kelly Chase for ten years.
Jessica, 34, and Kelly, also 34, starred on the show which saw couple's date through a wall, get engaged, then get married (or not) weeks later.
Both women said no to their partners at the alter in the dramatic reality show, but something we didn't see was the friendship between them.
Answering questions on her Instagram , Jessica was asked: "Did you know Kelly before the show?"
She replied with a throwback photo of the two women with brown hair, with the caption: "I've known kel for 10 years!"
Kelly was also asked the same question, and she replied via video: "Jessica and I actually met ten or 11 years ago from an ex boyfriend's same social circle".
Baffled fans were surprised their long-standing friendship was never addressed on the show, which implied all the participants were strangers.
One Twitter user wrote: "I was today years old when I found out jessica and kelly from love is blind have known each other for TEN YEARS."
Another wrote: "I'm actually getting a headache. I- w h a t ?"
"This gives me a headache," complained another.
But another user explained the reason they both applied to the show.
She wrote: "tbh I think it’s probably quite a normal explanation. like maybe one of them applied and told their single friends and they decided to do it too not thinking they would get picked and then they both ended up in the final selection + also getting engaged on the show.
All 30 of the contestants on the shoe were also from Atlanta, so were more likely to know each other.
This is likely to have to ensure long distance was not a factor in their fears of marrying one another, and so they could easily visit each other's families.
