Love/Hate star Killian Scott set for new gritty BBC crime drama The Dublin Mountains

Traffic in parts of Dublin city might come to a standstill on Tuesday afternoon to make way for the filming of a new BBC drama series, it has been reported.

Love/Hate star Killian Scott is to play Detective Rob Reilly in the new show Dublin Murders.

Filming is to take place in the capital on Talbot Street and Spencer Row between noon and 5pm, the Independent reports.

A wave of murders is to hit Dublin as the UK broadcaster film the show, which is drawn from Tana French's bestselling Dublin Murder Squad novels.

The series, which is set during the Celtic Tiger, will consist of eight hour long episodes.

Scott, 34, previously said: "I couldn’t be more delighted to join the creative team behind Dublin Murders.

"Sarah Phelps has beautifully adapted Tana French’s compelling novels into a complex and dark exploration of memory, identity and the potentially devastating consequences of pursuing truth.

"The chance to stumble into this world alongside the wonderful Sarah Greene and under the guidance of our brilliant directors."

His co-star Greene, 34, will play Det Cassie Maddox in the new psychological crime thriller for BBC One, Starz and RTE.
