LOVE Gorgie Farm to provide new outdoor classroom for schools when they return in August

LOVE Gorgie Farm have announced that they will be opening their site up to schools next term to provide a new outdoor learning space.

The farm have stated they will host a range of programmes for schools to embrace outdoor learning and reduce physical interactions as children return to education for the first time since lockdown.

The outdoor services range from learning workshops featuring sport and other activities, to different environmental programmes within LOVE Learning’s Earth School that combine nature and educational practices.

The farm have said that the 'Earth School'will help develop an informal learning setting for children of all ages by focusing on learning through outdoor experiences.

Through their learning programmes, LOVE Learning aims to assist in these changing times at the same time as enhancing all-inclusive practices involving nature and expanding these to mainstream activities for pupils of all ages.

Plans will allow for both primary and secondary pupils to receive lessons at the farm, as well as schools for children with learning disabilities.
