‘Love crypto’: AIMIM Twitter handle hacked

HYDERABAD: The official Twitter account of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) was hacked for a few hours on Sunday.

The account’s profile picture sported a photo of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, along with his name below it.

The hackers also sent a series of tweets in the name of Musk. One of them read: “I am very excited about the prospect of using cryptocurrency, not just as a money equivalent, but using it as a way to earn something as a result of doing some type of work. Love Crypto.”

AIMIM is planning to file a complaint against the unknown hackers. “This mischief has been done for the second time. We will file a complaint with police, and with Twitter,” said a party leader. Meanwhile AIMIM’s Uttar Pradesh president Shaukat Ali’s account was also temporarily restricted by Twitter.
