Love Actually live concert coming to the Usher Hall for Christmas

Love Actually fans can rejoice as a live concert version of the Christmas classic coming to Scotland’s capital this winter.

The rom-com which was written and directed by Richard Curtis captured the hearts of the UK when it was released in cinemas in 2003. Almost two decades later it is still a movie that a number of us will indulge in during the festive season.

Love Actually in concert has been extremely popular since it launched and has sold out in previous years as fans have flocked in their droves to see the show. The show is set to come to Edinburgh on Thursday December 7 at the Usher Hall.

There will also be a number of other performances across the UK including Glasgow with the opening night taking place at the Bath Form on November 24. The premise of the film is an exploration of ten different storylines that all interweave with one another.

The main theme throughout is love over the Christmas period. The cast includes British film stars such as Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley and Colin Firth.

Maroon 5, The Beach Boys, Sugababes and The Calling all feature within the films soundtrack and are massive hits with fans. A full, live orchestra will also perform Craig Armstrong's scores at each show, with the film being projected onto a large screen at each venue.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, March 17 and are available from Ticketmaster.
