Louth restaurant will serve free dinner to anyone who needs it on Christmas Day

A restaurant in Co Louth will serve free dinner to anyone who needs it on Christmas Day.

Sitar Indian Restaurant in Carlingford has offered the incredible gesture to anyone who walks through their doors between 1pm and 4pm on December 25.

The service will be available to anyone, whether they feel they would be unable to afford their own dinner, or simply if they have nobody to share their meal with.

The establishment is based on the outskirts of the Louth town, with an incredible view over the famous Carlingford Lough.

Ricky from Sitar explained that there is no obligation to eat the food at the restaurant, and that no questions will be asked of anyone who wants to avail of the gesture.
