Louth boss Wayne Kierans didn’t hide his disappointment at the lack of quality that his side showed against Dublin, though the chance for some rehabilitation presents itself this evening.
After Louth had contended strongly for promotion to Division Two in the League, a 26-point beating, the third biggest win of Jim Gavin’s Dublin reign, was certainly larger than expected, particularly with the All-Ireland champions playing with 14 players for the majority of the game.
Antrim failed to raise a gallop in Division Four again this year and are smarting from a heavy defeat themselves against Tyrone. Louth are more likely to purge themselves, however.
