Rice continues to fight the good fight with next to nothing to show for it.
The defense is plucky – holding Baylor to just 21 points last week – but the offense is the second-worst in college football in scoring. There’s no passing game, the ground attack hasn’t been able to establish its will, and the other side of the ball isn’t providing any help.
The Owls are dead last in college football in third down defense.
But other than that, everything is going great.
The D is the second worst in America in pass D efficiency.
Louisiana Tech’s offense is on a bit of a roll with the ability to control the game and the clock enough to own this from the start. Rice doesn’t have the offense to keep up the pace after the first quarter.
