Louisiana's flamboyant festival traditions on display in 'Black Indians'

ENCORE! © FRANCE 24

We take a trip to the Deep South thanks to an exhibition that uncovers a lesser-known part of the cultural landscape of New Orleans. "Black Indians" explores the creativity of the African American and indigenous communities through parades and celebrations. Our reporters went to check it out at the Quai Branly museum in Paris.

We also look back at the extraordinary output of an artist who conjured light from darkness. Pierre Soulages was renowned for his use of the colour black and his death at 102 closes a key chapter in the history of French abstract art.

Plus, climate activists take their fight to the museums housing some of the world's best-known paintings, while the Belgian boy reporter reaches a new generation thanks to "Tintin, the Immersive Adventure" at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris.
