Louise Thompson's fiancé Ryan still worries she 'won't wake up' after she nearly died

Louise Thompson says her partner is worried she "won't wake up", revealing he is suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

The Made In Chelsea star, 32, made the revelation during an Instagram Q&A when a fan asked how Ryan Libbey, 31 was coping after she nearly died in childbirth.

The new mum has been left with a string of health issues since giving. birth to the couple's son Leo in November and now she's said the stress is taking its toll on Ryan.

Writing candidly, Louise admitted: "He was strong, strong, strong and then BAM he had an almighty crash.

"Not for me to comment on but he deffo has some sort of pnd (paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea) ptsd."

PND is a condition that triggers sudden shortness of breath during sleep.

Louise continued: "He' so guilty so probably feels guilty he couldn't protect me.

"My head dealt with living through and awful experience. He had to witness everything with clear vision.

"He still lies awake to check on me, he's worried I won't wake up."

The mum-of-one explained that thankfully Ryan was starting to get help, admitting she would also like the couple to have counselling because they "never actually talk about what happened".

Despite giving birth in November, Louise almost didn't make it home for Christmas - after "various serious complications" left her confined to a wheelchair and recovering in hospital for a month post-birth.

The reality TV star didn't tell anyone about Leo's arrival for five weeks, after being 'reminded of how short and sacred life really is'.

Doctors had to work "through the night" to save Louise's life - with the 32-year-old later admitting she doesn't know if she would be alive without the NHS.

"Honestly where would we be without the NHS? I know where I would be," she stated, solemnly.

Last week Ryan told fans Louise was back in hospital after receiving "alarming blood test results".

His news came just hours after the new mum posted: "I just want someone to fix me."

"My poor body and brain are all over the place."

Ryan wrote alongside the snap of him at the hospital, wearing a mask: "Just as I thought I was approaching a time period where I could focus some energy into my own therapy and healing, Louise unfortunately still struggles with various things every single day and some of those symptoms are worsening."
