Louise Redknapp 'won't ever have a boyfriend' after Jamie split

Louise Redknapp has admitted she fears she'll be single forever, after not going on a single date since her marriage to Jamie ended three years ago, reports Mirror Online.

Former Liverpool footballer Jamie and Louise were one of showbiz's golden couples after being married for almost 20 years.

But the couple split in 2017 following Louise's stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

Louise said her appearance on the BBC show in 2016 made her think about what she really wanted from life.

She admitted she sometimes felt like a Stepford Wife, trying to be the perfect wife and mum and forced to leave her singing career behind.

The couple divorced in December 2017, but Louise, who has sons Charles, 16, and Beau, 12, with the ex-England midfielder, said she cannot imagine bringing a new boyfriend home to meet the boys.

Louise, 45, said: “I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to have a boyfriend. I still haven’t been on a date.

“First of all the 16-year-old is like, ‘How are they going to get past me?’

“Sometimes I say, ‘How would you feel if I went on a date?’ and they say, ‘I don’t want to talk about it!'

“It’s not looking positive to me when it comes to a love life.”

It comes two months after Jamie, 47, reportedly started dating a new girlfriend, Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie, 37.

The former Eternal singer told Sophie Ellis-Bextor in the Spinning Plates podcast how Strictly is a “bittersweet” memory for her.

She made it to the finals with dance partner Kevin Clifton, but lost out to Ore Oduba and Kevin’s sister Joanne.

But while she “loved learning to dance and I loved the fire it gave me”, she said: “I think the circus that comes with it is a really horrible machine. It’s a weird bubble.”

Louise has gone onto relaunch her singing career, releasing a new album and performing shows across the country.
