Louise Redknapp talks 'moving on' after 'hard few years' as she shares new work project

Louise Redknapp has addressed "moving on" after a "hard few years" as she revealed she was working on a new show.

It comes just weeks after her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp welcomed a baby son with new wife Frida Andersson.

The 47-year-old, who shares sons Beau and Charles with Jamie, spoke about her new programme which aims to help other people get their lives back on back.

Appearing on Lorraine today alongside expert lifestyle expert Paul Wharton, the pair opened up about their new show We;ce Got This.

Lorraine began the interview by saying: "Look, you've been through all sorts - we all have in our lives. You certainly have! And you have to kind of learn from that!"

"You do," Louise agreed. "You have to learn and you have to work out what makes you move on to the next step. And I think for us it's maybe about spending time with people who haven't been out of the house, haven't had a job interview for years, have lost their confidence, have lost the confidence of walking into a room and knowing that they're capable and OK.

"I speak to so many people all the time that say, 'Oh, I wish I could do this, I wish I could do that.' What we're saying is, 'You can!'

"These past few years have knocked so many people for so many different reasons and I think, as a nation, we actually need to start pulling back together and look forward to what's exciting and what's to come."

She added: "I think the last few years have been so hard for everybody.

"So much in many people's lives have changed with covid jobs, unfortunately losing family members, not going out much.

"We're going to try and really focus on 2022 being the most positive year yet."

*Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV
