Louise Redknapp 'putting on brave face' after Jamie's wedding

Louise Redknapp is said to be putting on 'a brave face' after ex-husband Jamie's marriage to model Frida Andersson last week.

Former Liverpool FC player, Jamie Redknapp married his pregnant girlfriend Frida Andersson earlier this week at Chelsea Register Office.

It was a low-key ceremony, where they were joined by their closest family.

The couple, who have been together since 2019, will welcome their first child together in November.

Jamie, 48, married Louise in 1998, before divorcing in 2018.

They share sons Charlie, 17, and Beua, 12, together, reports the Mirror.

According to Heat Magazine, a source told them: “Louise is devastated, but she’s trying to put on a brave face for the sake of the kids and everyone around her."

Earlier this year, Louise said she would be keeping Jamie Redknapp 's surname.

Speaking to You Magazine, the former Eternal singer said: "People ask me about that a lot. First and foremost, my kids are Redknapps.

"I don’t want to turn up at a school function and have a different second name to my children. I’m proud. Those little things mean a lot to me."

She continued: "Also, I’ve been a Redknapp longer than I’ve been anything else in my life."

Jamie and Louise’s marriage came to an end after 19 years in 2017 – just months after she had been a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing – and their divorce was finalised in 2018.

In her book, You've Got This: And Other Things I Wish I Had Known Louise opened up about the collapse of her marriage and warned fans not to make the same mistakes as she had.

Explaining that she spent too long in her marriage trying to make everyone else happy and not giving time to herself, she said: “I wish I’d tried.

“I want to say to anyone thinking of running: Just slow down. Don’t run. Because once you run too fast, you can’t make up the ground you’ve lost.

“Stop, say what you need, say what you think, don’t be afraid to say what’s really going on. You don’t have to be quiet.”
