Louise Redknapp lands exciting job touring the UK after ex Jamie's baby news

Louise Redknapp has big plans to tour the UK with Dolly Parton's 9 To 5: The Musical.

It comes just after it was revealed her ex-husband Jamie is having his third baby with his stunning model girlfriend Frida Andersson - her fifth baby.

Now Louise has her own exciting news as she will reprise her role as Violet Newstead in the UK tour of the West End musical.

The tour starts on August 24 this year at Glasgow King's Theatre.

It will take the singing sensation all over the country from Woking to Manchester, Edinburgh to Bristol, Bradford to Canterbury and many more theatres.

Originally the tour was penned into start on June 21 which has become known as "freedom day" for when everyone hopes the coronavirus restrictions will be lifted.

However, it's been bumped back a few months.

According to WhatsonStage, Dolly Parton said: "I am so proud that 9 To 5 will be coming back soon to theatres all across the UK.

"Louise has been wonderful since she led the show in the West End and we're all so excited to give audiences the best night out after we have all waited so long!"

Previously, the singer stormed the stage as Violet at the Savoy Theatre in 2019.

Louise also has the Cabaret West End show to her name as she marked her career comeback.

The pop star returned to the stage after Strictly Come Dancing gave her a new lease of life in 2016.

But just months after her Strictly stint, her 19-year marriage to footballer Jamie broke down.

“Strictly put the fire back in my belly, but it didn’t break up my relationship. After 20 years of marriage, it takes a lot more than that,” she told The Guardian at the time.

“It took me so long to get pregnant the first time – four years – so I was just so in love with my little boy. And, for the first seven or eight years, it was quite nice to not have to worry about where your record’s going, or if people like you.

"But as time went on, I’d drop the kids off at school, go home, walk the dogs and then go home and think: ‘I have five hours until school pick-up.’ That’s a long day. It was fine when they were young, because I’d pick them up at 12. Then it changed; they’re at school and doing sport, Jamie was doing his thing, and there was pure panic. I was lonely and I felt like I had nothing to say.”

The famous exes have been amicable in raising their kids Charley and Beau.
