Louise Redknapp hints new music will reveal REAL reason behind Jamie Redknapp split

Louise Redknapp has promised fans there'll be plenty of her life experience dripped into her new music - and hinted it may well be the key to understanding her and Jamie Redknapp's split.

The couple broke up in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, following Louise's Strictly Come Dancing split with Kevin Clifton - who she says she no longer speaks to despite their close friendship on the show.

And with her comeback single - Stretch - scheduled for release when her new album Heavy Love comes out in October, Louise has plenty to talk about.

"It is a sexy song and it was so hard because there's been so much speculation on my life. I think it would have been very easy to come back with a real personal song or a dig — but that’s just not me," Louise told the Sun .

"There's really personal songs on the album and songs that people will read into how they wish."

But, she went on, not every song is about Jamie - despite how they'll be received.

"There's a song called Breaking Back Together and I know everyone's going to think, 'Is it about Jamie?'

"Actually it was everything my mum said to me over about a three-month period when I was sad and struggling - 'Not gonna lie, it's going to hurt but you'll break and you'll get (yourself) back together."

She added: "But there's some songs on there that aren't what people might think, if you listen deeper. It goes a lot deeper."

It comes after the former Eternal singer admitted that she had no choice but to leave "traditional" Jamie after growing increasingly morose about being a stay-at-home mum for her two boys.

Strictly, she said, "put the fire back in my belly", adding that she'd experienced "pure panic" when her sons started growing up.

"I was lonely and felt like I had nothing to say," Louise added.
