Louise Redknapp fears she might be single forever, having not dated since her marriage to Jamie ended three years ago.
The former Strictly star, who has sons Charles, 16, and Beau, 12, with the ex-England midfielder, said she cannot imagine bringing a boyfriend home to meet the boys.
Louise, 45, said: “I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to have a boyfriend. I still haven’t been on a date.
“First of all the 16-year-old is like, ‘How are they going to get past me?’
“Sometimes I say, ‘How would you feel if I went on a date?’ and they say, ‘I don’t want to talk about it!
“It’s not looking positive to me when it comes to a love life.”
It comes two months after Jamie, 47, went public with his new girlfriend, Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie, 37.
Louise and Jamie announced their 19-year marriage was over in 2017, following speculation that they were having marriage difficulties in 2016, when Louise appeared on Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Eternal singer told Sophie Ellis-Bextor in the Spinning Plates podcast how Strictly is a “bittersweet” memory for her.
She made it to the finals with dance partner Kevin Clifton, but lost out to Ore Oduba and Kevin’s sister Joanne.
But while she “loved learning to dance and I loved the fire it gave me”, she said: “I think the circus that comes with it is a really horrible machine. It’s a weird bubble.”
