Louise Redknapp 'crying ten times a day' after major family change

Louise Redknapp said she is crying daily because her son, Charley, is leaving home for university.

The Eternal's star said the latest shift in her family has left her feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Her eldest son, Charley, 18, was the source of Louise's heartache as he made plans to finally leave the nest.

The rugby star recently finished his final year at Epsom College and made plans to move away to university. His choice of location impacted Louise greatly as she admitted she wanted him to choose somewhere much closer to home.

In an interview with Metro, Louise said: "I keep crying.

"I cry like 10 times a day at the moment. If someone’s nice to me I start crying like, 'Sorry it’s just my son’s going to university'. Everyone who’s had kids go off to university says it’s normal. I’m super proud of him but, God, I’m gonna miss him."

Just recently Louise said her kids were supportive of her moving on following the divorce from their father, Jamie Redknapp. The 47-year-old said she was putting herself out there but was not willing to jump into anything serious too soon. Following her divorce, she admitted being "a staple" in her children's lives was more important than finding a new partner.
