Louise Redknapp cringes over her curly hair in epic throwback from 24 years ago

Louise Redknapp has been left cringing over her curly hair as she shared an epic throwback from 1997.

The pop star, 46, dug out some old pictures which showed her presenting an award with Take That singer Gary Barlow at the 1997 BRIT Awards.

In the snaps, Louise would have been around 22 and at the height of her singing career.

She was seen wearing a sexy white corset dress as she stood next to a youthful looking Gary.

However, Louise couldn't resist pointing out how different her hair looked in the snaps.

Fans are used to seeing the singer with long straight hair, but she'd had it styled into tight corkscrew curls for the awards show.

She tweeted: "Flashback it back to the Brit Awards with the lovely @GaryBarlow...

"Please can you all remind me to NEVER wear my hair like this again to the @BRITs!!!"

Fans flocked to Louise 's page to comment on the hair style - with many telling her she looked great.

Some also tried to work out celebrity lookalikes, with plenty suggesting she was the spitting image of Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing.

One wrote: "I thought you were Jenifer Grey, back in the day for a moment," and another added: "You going for the Jennifer Gray look from dirty dancing Louise?"

Another joked: "It's the 'Nobody puts Louise in the corner' look!" - a reference to a famous line from the movie.

Others suggested the singer looked a lot like fellow music star Gloria Estefan while Gary was compared to John Barrowman.

Louise and Gary were two of the biggest pop stars of the 1990s when the teamed up to present the Best International Newcomer Award at the BRITs in London in 1997.

Video footage of the even shows the pair walking out on stage with Gary remarking: "Doesn't Louise look gorgeous!"

The award went to Robert Miles.
