Louise Redknapp breaks silence in Peppa Pig row to demand 'justice' for her track Naked

Louise Redknapp has broken her silence after becoming embroiled in a row with the company behind Peppa Pig.

The Mirror exclusively revealed the pop star, 45, is over claims her 1996 song Naked was ripped off in a track sung by the beloved kids TV character.

Louise has now weighed in on the fight in a post on Twitter, poking fun at the legal battle and demanding "justice" for her track.

She tweeted: "Oink oink" with a pig emoji before adding: " #JusticeForNaked".

The track – called Peppa's Party Time – features on Peppa Pig: My First Album, which was released last July.

The songwriters behind Louise's single launched legal action against Canadian company Entertainment One claiming it was an infringement of copyright.

Sources claim the company has since settled, with the composers entitled to all backdated and future royalties, which could earn them up to £1million.

Their names, including veteran music producer Denis Ingoldsby who launched Louise’s girlband Eternal, are now officially credited alongside the original composers of the Peppa track.

The lyrics, sung by voice of Peppa Harley Bird, include: “I’m having a party/do you want to come/ there’s going to be lots of dancing and maybe some dancing in muddy puddles too.”

It bears an uncanny similarity to Louise’s single Naked, which was taken off her debut album of the same name.

The song, which reached Number five in the charts, sold more than a million copies in the UK, although the lyrics were of a slightly more adult content compared to the Peppa Pig song.

In the video, Louise writhes around on a couch as she sings: “I can feel your eyes all over my body/I can read the signs, they’re sexual/ I can read your mind/I can see you want me/ Something in your eyes is sensual/ You make me feel naked/ Undressing me with your eyes/ You make me feel naked.”
