Louise Redknapp has revealed she is no longer in touch with her former Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton.

The singer reached the 2016 final with the dance professional, who is rumoured to be dating his 2018 partner, and TV presenter, Stacey Dooley.

Redknapp said she has “no idea” about his supposed relationship with Dooley, whose ex-boyfriend recently branded Clifton an “absolute rat”.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I haven't spoken to him for a long time. Most probably since the show started. Not since last year. I haven't spoken to Kevin in a long, long time and I've never met Stacey, so I have no idea.”

Redknapp said “everyone is looking for something different” when they go on the BBC ballroom show as she hit back at the so-called Strictly curse.

“Everyone has a different experience, everybody does the show for different reasons and everyone is looking for something different. There's curses everywhere, no matter what job,” she said.

The Stretch singer’s comments come after she insisted that the dance competition did not result in her split from ex-husband Jamie Redknapp.

She credited the show with putting the “fire back in [her] belly” but said that was not enough to end her 19-year marriage to the footballer.

She told the Guardian: “Strictly put the fire back in my belly, but it didn’t break up my relationship. After 20 years of marriage, it takes a lot more than that.”

Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton's final dance

Earlier this week, Dooley was forced to break her silence on ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott’s claims that she has been secretly dating Clifton.

Tucknott branded the dance star an “absolute rat” after claiming he saw an “I love you” message from Clifton on Dooley’s phone while he was getting ready to leave the couple’s flat, following their split.

Dooley, who is yet to confirm her romance with Clifton, told her Twitter followers there are “two sides to every story” as she wished Tucknott “happiness and success”.

A TV appearance from earlier this year has since re-emerged in which Dooley described Tucknott as “useless”, when referring to how he “never” travels with her on presenting jobs.
