Louis Walsh revealed he had to explain to Simon Cowell who some of the “celebrities” were on the new X Factor show as he had never heard of them.
The music mogul is returning as a judge with the pumped-up version of the talent show next weekend.
But Walsh admitted he had to give Cowell side notes on who the so-called famous faces were on X Factor: Celebrity.
The 67-year-old Westlife boss told Irish Mirror: “It is going to be so much fun. We auditioned 15 celebrities in Simon’s garden in Malibu, it was amazing.
"It was in front of an audience of the best producers and songwriters and everyone in the business. And it is just me, Simon and Nicole [Scherzinger] as judges.
"We have rugby players, like Ben Foden, then we have a team from Love Island, [Channel 4 newsreader] Martin Bashir, a girl from Love Actually. [Former TOWIE star] Megan McKenna is in my group as well. She really is one to watch. She’s really good.
“Simon didn’t know a lot of them so I had to explain to him who they were.”
