Police tape is surrounding Louis Vuitton in Manchester city centre this morning following an apparent break in.
A sledgehammer and boxes can also be seen strewn outside the luxury fashion store, located in the Selfridges building, in Exchange Square.
The windows of the shop appear to have been smashed and broken glass can be seen withing the police scene.
One police van can been seen positioned outside the building.
The incident is understood to have taken in the early hours of this morning.

It is unknown what has been taken.
A spokeswoman for Selfridges Exchange said: “There was an attempted burglary last night at our Exchange Square store. No one was injured and the police are currently investigating.”
Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for a comment but no further details have been released at this stage.

Louis Vuitton have also been contacted by the M.E.N.
Many shocked people walking to walk have shared images and video clips of the mess outside the shop this morning.

One Twitter user wrote: "Casually walking to work to find Louis Vuitton in Manchester's been robbed. All cornered off on Cathedral St...Those poor bags."

The designer shop sells clothes, handbags and accessories.
Some handbags cost more than £2,000, while dresses on the Louis Vuitton website are being sold for £2,870.
