Louis Vuitton reclaims closing spot at Paris Fashion Week

Another highly anticipated debut is Seán McGirr's collection for Alexander McQueen. Scheduled for March 2nd, this presentation will undoubtedly be a major moment for the fashion industry. Taking over the reins from the late Sarah Burton, McGirr is expected to inject new energy into the established codes of the brand. With a background designing for contemporary labels like J.W. Anderson and Uniqlo, McGirr has a challenge ahead to captivate the critical audience with his razor-sharp vision.

Chloé, following Gabriela Hearst's departure, welcomes Chemena Kamali to showcase her inaugural collection. Having previously worked for the house before her tenure at Saint Laurent, Kamali's selection emphasizes the importance of diversifying leadership roles within fashion houses. As one of the few female creatives at the helm of a major fashion brand, Kamali aims to bring her unique perspective and breathe new life into Chloé.

Rochas, under the creative guidance of Alessandro Vigilante, is set to redefine its house's identity. With experience at renowned fashion houses like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, and The Attico, Vigilante is poised to reintroduce and reclaim lost elements of the brand. As an Italian designer leading a brand owned by Italy's Interparfums and manufactured by HIM Co SpA, there is potential for a harmonious alignment between management and creative vision.

Amidst the established names, new and exciting labels are also making their mark on the ready-to-wear calendar. CFCL, a Japanese sustainable knitwear brand that works with recycled fabrics, and Zomer, a label inspired by the Dutch word for summer, are both set to showcase their collections on March 5th. With their unique approaches to design and commitment to sustainability, these emerging brands are worth keeping an eye on.
