Louis Tomlinson spoke about grief five days BEFORE sister's death

Louis Tomlinson said 'we should all talk more about grief' just five days before his sister Félicité's death.

Félicité, 18, was found dead at her London home on March 13 after suffering a suspected heart attack.

During an interview with Lorraine before her tragic death, Louis discussed new track Two Of Us, which features some very poignant lyrics about his mother Johannah, who died from leukaemia in 2016.

When asked about grief, Louis said: "We can all talk about it a little bit more. I think that's why I felt good about singing the lyrcis. It was a moment for me to speak about it publicly and put it onto lyrics."

"Mum was always obsessed with me playing piano. They said 'why don't you do the opening verse on piano?'. Normally I'd say no. But knowing she'd love the idea I just zoned into it and went for it and think I pulled it off."

Louis pulled out of his Comic Relief performance tonight days after his sister's death.

The One Direction star had been scheduled as one of the headliners of the live charity event.

Louis had been due to perform new track Two Of Us which features some very poignant lyrics about his mother Johannah, who died from leukaemia in 2016.

He also opened up on fatherhood, One Direction reunion rumours and his status as X Factor jude during the interview, which he had given approval for to run.

Louis revealed Freddie, 3, is developing a stronger personality and is "mischievous but cheeky".

He said: "I’ve said a few times I think it's the responsibility side of things which has made the process easier for me. Every time I spend time with Freddie you feel so much love.

"It doesn’t matter what's going on. In that moment that's all you're thinking about. Those times are priceless."

Louis admitted it can feel "daunting" performing alone as he discussed taking a hiatus from One Direction.

However, the singer believes the boyband will get back together in the future.

He said: "We are forever brothers. That's the reality. For everyone there is a real mutual respect. No one else can relate to us like the other boys.

On when the reunion will come, he added: "I don't really know the answer to that question. The reality is I think it must. When the conversation will happen I don't know."

He has loved being an X Factor judge (ITV)

Being an X Factor judge in 2018 was an "amazing experience", according to Louis.

He joked that Simon Cowell had not called him yet when asked about coming back for another series.

But he did confess that he might not return if it was going to "get in the way" of his mission to release an album this year.

*Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 8.30am
