Louis Tomlinson's sister Felicite died of heart attack after 'accidental overdose'

Félicité Tomlinson died of from a heart attack after taking an 'accidental overdose', a coroner has ruled.

An inquest into the death of the 18-year-old, who is the sister of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, heard that the teen took the "perfect storm" of cocaine, Xanax and Oxycodone.

It is believed that she became addicted following the loss of her mother Johannah Deakin to leukemia in 2016 at the age of 43.

Louis took his sister to an appointment at the private OAD drug addiction clinic, the inquest heard.

The 27-year-old attended the clinic with Felicite on September 4 - a day after she had failed to trun up for an appointment there.

A coroner Westminster Coroner's Court ruled that Félicité, who was found "lifeless" in her London home on March 13 by her school friend Zainab Mohammed, died of "misadventure".

Félicité was an aspiring fashion designer and was well known on social media, regularly sharing posts with her 1.3 million Instagram followers.

In a tribute read out at the court from her father Mark Tomlinson, he described her as "a much loved daughter and sister" who had from an early age "established herself as mischievous and wonderful with children."

Mr Tomlinson added: "Félicité had huge hopes and aspirations for her future, a lot of which were beginning to come to fruition at her untimely passing.

"She is missed by all who knew and loved her."

The court heard that Ms Mohammed found her friend with her "lips whiteish" shortly after 12 noon on March 13, after buying and taking cocaine the night before, which she previously denied after calling 999.

The Coroner said: "You then say that both you and Fizz did lines of cocaine on the night of March 12th.

"A male friend came round, but he didn't want any lines.

"You went to bed and saw Félicité do more lines, but you don’t know how many she did and then you fell asleep.

"You also said you had gone with her to buy cocaine on the night."

Ms Mohammed also confirmed she wasn't aware of any other drugs that were taken that night.

A paramedic was called to Félicité at 1.18pm. When they found her, she was not breathing and had vomit in her airways.

Medics tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead at 1.45pm after being in cardiac arrest for 54 minutes.

Concluding coroner Dr Shirley Radcliffe said: "Félicité Grace Tomlinson has died as a result of drug toxicity on Wednesday the 13th of March 2019.

"She was found unresponsive by her friend at her home addres. The London Ambulance Service attended, CPR was commenced but to no avail.

"I think the most appropriate conclusion would be misadventure. This was an individual who took drugs voluntarily and has succumbed to the side effects of those drugs accidentally.

"To some extent I’m sure she knew the risks she was taking, but I do not think this was a deliberate act to end her life."

Louis, who shot to fame when put into boyband One Direction on The X Factor, thanked his fans for their support in April.

The 27-year-old, who also has sisters Charlotte (Lottie), Daisy and Phoebe, was said to be 'distraught' at his sisters tragic death.
