Félicité Tomlinson death: Louis Tomlinson 'pulls out of Comic Relief' after 18-year-old sister dies

Louis Tomlinson has reportedly pulled out of his scheduled Comic Relief appearance after the tragic death of his sister.

Eighteen-year-old Félicité died on Wednesday after suffering a suspected heart attack at her home in Earl’s Court, West London. Her death is being treated as “unexplained”.

Former One Direction singer Tomlinson, 27, had been due to perform as part of Comic Relief’s live telethon on Friday evening but has reportedly pulled out and cancelled all forthcoming promotional appearances in the wake of the news.

“Louis is obviously distraught at the loss of his sister. He has cancelled all promo, which includes his performance on Comic Relief this week,” a source told The Sun.

“It’s just the biggest tragedy and everyone wants to be there for Louis, who is the leader of his family since the loss of his mother and always there for all his siblings.”

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Tomlinson and Comic Relief for comment.

The X Factor judge has been left “devastated” at the loss of his sister, according to the publication, which comes two years after the death of his mother Johannah Deakin. The 43-year-old passed away in December 2016 after a battle with leukaemia.

Tomlinson had been due to perform his new single Two Of Us on Friday evening, a song he wrote in tribute to his late mother.

The powerful lyrics include: “This morning I woke up still dreaming, with memories playing through my head.

“You’ll never know how much I miss you. The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead.”

Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to Félicité’s home shortly before 1pm on Wednesday. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the aspiring fashion designer was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, Scotland Yard said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 12.52 on Wednesday, March 13 to a residential address... following reports of a female in cardiac arrest.

"A female believed to be aged 18 was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course."
