Louis Tomlinson has taken a big step in his relationship with Zara McDermott by making it “Instagram official”.
The former One Direction star, 33, publicly showed his support for the 28-year-old Love Island alum and documentary presenter with a sweet comment on her latest post.
Zara, who has been working on a new documentary series in Thailand, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of herself in the editing suite.
In the caption, she reflected on five years of making documentaries and spoke about her growing confidence both on and off camera.
“In the edit for my new series all about Thailand I’m so unbelievably excited about this one,” she penned. “I can’t believe I’ve been making documentaries for 5 years now… every year that goes by I feel my confidence in front of the camera, in my producing (and in myself!!) growing so much.
“I feel really proud of this, of our amazing team for creating such a special series with so much depth to it, exploring some pretty serious topics but also capturing the fun too.
“I learnt SO much making this programme. I cannot wait @bbcthree (Thailand will be out later this year after my stalking documentary which will be out this summer)”
Louis responded with a heartfelt message, writing: “Proud of you x.”
His sister Daisy also chimed in, calling Zara “clever and beautiful.”
The post comes shortly after Zara shared snaps from her recent trip to Los Angeles, where she’s spent time with Louis.
While he wasn’t in the pictures, his sisters Lottie and Phoebe showed their approval by leaving affectionate emojis in the comments.
The pair went public with their relationship in March after being linked earlier this year.
Their romance became a hot topic after they were spotted together at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh and later shared near-identical posts from a Stereophonics gig in LA, strongly hinting they were attending the show together.
Their relationship surfaced just three months after Zara’s split from former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 32, who she dated for five years.
The couple parted ways shortly after Sam returned from filming I’m A Celeb: Unpacked in Australia.
Louis and Zara were later seen enjoying a low-key lunch date in the States, and photos captured them sharing a kiss outside a luxury holiday rental, confirming their new relationship.
