Louis Tomlinson blasts Love Island for not sending a good message to young people

Louis Tomlinson has blasted Love Island for not sending the right message to young people.

The One Direction star was talking about his excitement over releasing his next single and possibly a new album when he was asked about the ITV2 dating show.

Louis told his Twitter followers that he had "made the mistake" of watching previous series.

The singer confirmed that he was not watching this year's edition of the show, which was the subject of nearly 200 Ofcom complaints last week.

When asked if he was watching Love Island, Louis said: "I’m not. Made the mistake of watching previous years but enough is enough."

He added: "It’s not a good message for the younger people watching."

Last week's Love Island was the most explosive of the series so far after that dramatic recoupling.

A few of the girls returned from Casa Amor with some hunky new lads, while some of the original boys coupled up with some new bombshells.

Amy Hart discovered that Curtis Pritchard's head had been turned and was left in floods of tears.

While Jordan Hames, who had waited for Anna Vakili to return, was let down when she came back with Ovie Soko.

A massive row erupted when Michael Griffiths decided to couple up with Joanna Chimonides instead of staying loyal to Amber Gill.

The aftermath instalment sparked 196 complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2
