Louis Theroux is back in Nottingham - and this time he's wowed by Kimberley tearoom Madhatters

It seems Louis Theroux can't get enough of Nottingham. It's not the first time the cutting-edge documentary maker has been spotted out and about in the city centre after making two visits to Hops Coffee House and Bar at Hopkinson antiques shop during breaks in filming.

Yesterday he ventured to Kimberley with a camera crew - but he wasn't too busy to pose for photos and have a tour of the quirky Alice in Wonderland themed cafe Madhatters.

Cafe owner Nygel Stevenson was locking up at the end of the day when he spied the famous face in a car park opposite in St James' Street.

"I went over and asked for a photo and he said he was in the middle of filming but he came back an hour and a half later.

"He looked around the the tearoom and said 'this is brilliant'. He was so genuine and a really nice guy.

"We do love a bit of celeb spotting in Kimberley, it's rare."

Nygel said he'll probably frame the photo of himself and Louis and hang it in the tearoom, where he also has a photo with the late comic Frank Carson.

"He's (Frank) the reason it's called Madhatters. He said you're mad as a hatter to buy a coffee shop in a recession."
